Agency Admins will see the Individual/Family Type setting option in two areas:
1. Services
Agency Admin → Services ...
... locate any Agency or Referral Service → click the gear icon to open the service
2. Assessment Scales
Agency Admin → Assessments ...
... click Assessment Scales from the list of tabs on the left ...
... locate any assessment scale → click the gear icon ...
The Type selected will determine if the:
SERVICE, once assigned to a client, will apply only to that client (Individual) or be applied to all family members who have client profiles connected to the client (Family).
Examples:
- An Individual service would be "Job Coaching" as it applies to and benefits ONLY the individual.
- A Family service could be "Rent Assistance" as it applies to and benefits the ENTIRE family unit.
SCALE, once selected in a client assessment, will apply only to that client (Individual) or be applied to all family members who have client profiles connected to the client (Family).
Examples:
- An Individual scale would be "Employment" as the outcome selection applies to ONLY the individual.
- A Family scale could be "Housing" as the outcome selection applies to the ENTIRE family unit.
You'll see that typically, most services and assessment scales are an "Individual" Type as they focus on a single client.
If your organization has services or scales that should be applied across the whole family unit, be sure to select "Family" from the Type drop-down list and click Save.
